Guoping Deng is a Senior Scientist in Discovery Research at GentiBio. He is passionate about translating the fundamental findings emerging from the Treg field into new therapies to treat autoimmune diseases. He brings a breadth of expertise on Treg cell biology including FoxP3 post-translational modifications, Treg stability and human Treg cell engineering. Guoping has published multiple scientific publications in the field of Treg cells and led for several years a group of scientists during his tenure as Assistant Professor of Immunology at Peking University. Prior to joining GentiBio, Guoping was a Principal Scientist at D2M. Guoping earned his PhD at Peking University before conducting his postdoctoral research at the interface between the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Outside of work, Guoping likes traveling, cooking, and playing with his kids.
