Thai Tran is Director, Translational Bioanalytics at GentiBio. Thai joined GentiBio from Novartis/Navigate Biopharma where he was responsible for building a Digital Pathology group and leading a team of 20 scientists. During his 8-year tenure at Navigate, Thai, led a team that was responsible for developing critical assays for multiple cell therapy programs including both testing clinical samples and drug product characterization and release. Thai has deep experience working closely with stakeholders to develop robust bioanalytical packages that meet regulatory requirements in both the US, EU, Japan and RoW. Prior to Navigate Biopharma/Novartis, Thai worked at Genoptix (before it was acquired by Navigate) developing and validating biomarkers using immunohistochemistry. Thai started his professional career at Arizona State University where he established single-cell transcriptional and proteomic assays for oncology. Thai received his PhD from Purdue University and subsequently completed post-doctoral training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Thai lives in San Diego with his wife and son.
